Staff Biographies

MICHAEL G. BROCKWAY, CPO, LPO

PRESIDENT / OWNER

Mike is originally from Colorado and received his Bachelor of Science-Biomechanics from the University of Oregon.  Graduated from Northwestern University Orthotic and Prosthetic Center in Chicago in 1990.   He worked in the Denver area before moving to the northwest in 1996 to work for Yakima Orthotics & Prosthetics.   Then in 1998, he bought Yakima Orthotics & Prosthetics and Tri-Cities Orthotics & Prosthetics and sees patients in both offices.

Mike was Washington Orthotic & Prosthetic Association Secretary/Treasurer during 2002 - 2004.  He and his family are very active in the community as a part of the Rotary Club and he served as Chair for the Gap to Gap relay, which is a fund raising event for the Yakima Greenway for  4 years, as well as supporting many other community fundraisers. 

Mike believes that providing the highest quality orthotic and prosthetic care  possible, and maintaining a quality staff is of the utmost importance.

 

TAMARA L. CARSWELL, CPO, LPO

OFFICE MANAGER / TRI-CITIES

Tammy graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 1987.  She worked in San Diego for 3 years before returning to the Northwest and working in the Seattle/Tacoma area.  Having grown up in the Tri-cities, she and her family decided to return in 1996, where she worked locally in Orthotics and Prosthetics for nearly 5 years before becoming the Office Manager at Tri-Cities Orthotics & Prosthetics Center in 2000.

Tammy served as Northwest Chapter AAOP President during 2002 - 2004.  She has over 18 years of experience in all areas of her profession and has been traveling to Pendleton for over 10 years taking part in the Children’s Developmental Rehab Clinic  at  the Umatilla Morrow ESD twice a month.

Working closely with patients, therapists & physicians ensures the highest quality orthotic and prosthetic care available.

  

ROSS WORKMAN, CPO, LPO

YAKIMA / TRI-CITIES

Ross grew up in Othello Washington and is bilingual in Spanish/English.  His background includes a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from University of Illinois - Chicago in 1994.  He worked as a Physical Therapist for the Department of Veteran Affairs in Florida, specializing in Prosthetic Gait Training, until 1998.  He returned to school to study at Rancho Los Amigos in 1999 and Cal State Dominquez Hills in 2000 and received his Certificate in Orthotics and Prosthetics.  Completing his Orthotics and Prosthetics Residencies in San Diego, he worked in Northern California for two years before coming back to the Northwest where he lives in Yakima and works in both the Tri-Cities and Yakima offices.  Ross also sees patients in many surrounding areas, including Othello and Ellensburg.

 

TECHNICIANS

Our fabrication takes place at our Yakima location, where we have a full time Certified Prosthetic & Orthotic Technicians and a full time Orthotic Technician.  Both work closely with our practitioners in design and fabrication of our custom work.  They have a vast knowledge in all areas of Orthotics and Prosthetics.  Constantly upgrading their knowledge in their field by obtaining Continuing Education Credits.

 

PATIENT CARE COORDINATORS, BILLING AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT STAFF

Our staff will guide you through the process from the beginning, with timely appointments and continuing with the delivery of your orthotic or prosthetic device.  We will coordinate with you, your practitioner, our physician and your insurance company to provide the best possible care.  Billing your insurance and following the claim until the appropriate benefits have been paid on your behalf.  Working with each patient on an individual basis and providing information for CareCredit when necessary.
